Flow Island - Deep Ocean

This is a time-flow installation, where the whale’s journey through the deep sea guides us in wandering through the world of solitude, discovering a sense of ease and peace.
Each time the whale completes a circle, sixty minutes have passed. In "Flow Island" time is not defined by numbers, but by your own interpretation. It can serve as a companion, a time marker, or something to focus on during moments of solitude. There are many other ways to use it, awaiting your discovery.

After nearly a year of testing, we have fallen in love with the size of the whale we are now presenting. As it floats before us with the flow of time, we can see it from different angles and postures, as if coexisting with it in the deep sea, finding profound tranquility. However, it exceeded the weight capacity of the mechanism at that time, often causing it to stop working when it became too heavy. This sometimes gave us the illusion that time was frozen and no longer provided the peace we sought from the flow of time. This challenge was beyond our capabilities at the time. To allow it to function properly, we had to reduce its size, which resolved the issue of time not flowing correctly but also diminished the beautiful experience of coexisting with it in time.
How to maintain its perfect size while allowing it to flow with the user through time is what we are exploring at this stage. Whenever we encounter technical limitations that prevent us from fully realizing our concept, it becomes an 'exploration moment' in our creative process. After working with it, Dozen found a breakthrough that preserves its perfect size while allowing the whale to flow with us through time and achieve tranquility.
