Made from the wood of the Mapleand also features unique brass inlays.

From the place we live, we can see mountains far away when the weather is good. That is why we think we’re lucky to live in Taiwan(In 2020,we moved to Taitung,there are mountains behind our home). 
The pattern and thickness of the wood symbolize feelings we have for the mountains in Taiwan.
 
The incense holder features a thick wooden plate showing the wood pattern. Inserting an incense stick to the plate, a simple but gentle work of lines and surfaces is completed.
The incense holder can also be used as a small plate.
The brass holding component adds more details to the piece: it makes it easier to remove the burnt-out incense and helps to prevent the incense from burning the wood plate.
We hope this work can reflect our pursuance of quality life, giving a simple and gentle touch to its different aspects, such as space, smell, vision, and atmosphere. We have been using it for a while, and we like it very much.

In the morning, you might be woken up by kids, or the intruding sunlight because you forgot to close the curtain last night. You might spend a few more minutes in bed, but you will finally stretch and get up, embracing the start of a new day.
Everyone has a unique morning routine: some do stretches, while others listen to podcasts or morning news. Some people play songs that make them happy the whole day while brushing teeth, washing faces, and preparing to leave for work. As for us, we prepare breakfast for our kids while making ourselves coffee, then get the kids ready for school. Our day starts like this.
Since we received a box of incense from a family member, we have been using it every day before going downstairs and making breakfast. The smell helps to calm our minds and ease the morning depression.
 
However, we found the incense holder we used in the past somehow unsatisfying. Sometimes, ashes fell on the table, which is a hassle to clean up; other times, we found it difficult to remove incense sticks after they were burnt down because they were stuck in the incense hole. In light of those problems, we decided to design our own incense holder, which can contain all the fallen ashes without taking up much space. Its design should also make it easier to remove incense remnants. More importantly, it should be pleasing to the eyes.
